MsgCrypt is a secure messaging platform built to keep the message key out of server storage. Encryption happens in your browser and only the slug holder can decrypt.

Zero-knowledge delivery

MsgCrypt never stores your decryption slug. If the slug is lost, the message cannot be recovered.

MsgCrypt includes activity analytics so senders can see when a message or shortlink is opened. We collect access metadata such as timestamp, IP address, approximate location, and device/browser details. This helps prevent abuse and provides transparency.

Message retention varies by plan: Basic messages are retained up to 7 days, Pro messages up to 1 year.

Shortlinks auto-delete after 7 days on the Basic plan, while Pro shortlinks do not auto-delete.

Location data is derived from IP and is approximate (not precise). Basic plans display limited device information; Pro plans unlock deeper analytics.

Recipients are shown a transparency notice before reveal so they understand what metadata is collected.

We do not store encryption keys, messages, or files in plaintext. Your privacy and security are the core of the product.
